Mohali Master Plan — Sector Map & Layout Guide
The Mohali (SAS Nagar) master plan is a planned grid of numbered sectors developed largely by GMADA. Each sector is a self-contained neighbourhood with residential pockets, a central market street, green belts, schools and civic amenities, connected by a hierarchy of V1–V6 roads. Use the sector maps below to explore individual layouts and current property in each sector.
About Mohali Master Plan
Mohali, officially Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (SAS Nagar), is one of India’s best-planned cities and forms the western anchor of the Chandigarh Tricity. Like Chandigarh, it follows a grid-based master plan in which the city is divided into numbered, rectangular sectors. Each sector is designed as a walkable, self-sufficient neighbourhood so that day-to-day needs—shopping, schooling, parks and worship—are met within the sector itself.
The master plan is organised around a road hierarchy, from fast-moving V1/V2 arterial roads down to V4 shopping streets and V6 access lanes inside each pocket. A green belt typically runs through every sector, and the V4 market street forms the commercial spine. Newer areas of Mohali—such as Aerocity, IT City and the higher sector numbers—extend the same planning logic with wider roads and larger plots.
For buyers and investors, the master plan is the single most useful reference: it shows how a sector connects to Chandigarh, the airport and the highways, where the commercial and institutional zones sit, and how much room remains for new development. The individual sector maps below break the plan down sector by sector, with layout diagrams, connectivity, landmarks and the latest Property1313 listings.
